As an educator and community builder, Chiara founded and, for 10 years until the pandemic, ran the only free homeschool cooperative in South Carolina which was dedicated to gifted, accelerated, and asynchronous students who were recognized regionally and nationally for their work. Today, she advocates for many other causes.

Chiara has partnered with HABI to curate a museum-quality contemporary Filipino textile collection to exhibit in the USA. Chiara also has access to textiles from select HABI weavers for the US market and sells these in trunk shows in conjunction with her collection's exhibits.
